At an angle
A world next to ours
Group Exhibition
19 Artists
19 November — 19 December 2026
The exhibition At an Angle — A World Next to Ours takes its starting point from the very name of the collective and the place where its artists work: Atelier 180°.
Located on Rue du Croissant in Forest, Brussels, Atelier 180° is a shared studio space home to a collective of 24 artists. Spanning 650 m², its 23 studios and communal areas form a space dedicated to artistic work and creation.
Through this collaboration, Muo continues its commitment to offering new ways of experiencing contemporary art, building connections with artist collectives and creative spaces. More than a presentation of individual works, At an Angle — A World Next to Ours opens a window onto the microcosm of Atelier 180, where a multitude of artistic worlds coexist.
The idea of an angle becomes a way of approaching our surroundings from a slightly different perspective, somewhere between the familiar and the unknown. A World Next to Ours evokes a parallel world, close to our own yet not quite the same.
This idea also speaks to the concerns of our time. Environmental and social anxieties, inequalities and technological transformations challenge our relationship with the present and the future. Without seeking to directly illustrate these issues, the exhibition explores the possibility of imagining alternative realities.
Beyond the artworks themselves, it is also the place, its atmosphere and the diversity of the artists working there that inspired this exhibition. By bringing together 19 artists from the collective at Muo, the exhibition brings their practices out of the studio and into a shared exhibition space, where they can meet, enter into dialogue and, at times, challenge one another. In doing so, it offers a glimpse into this creative environment while preserving the individuality of each artist.
